Happy Sunday morning! I’m finally getting around to posting this ride profile & playlist from a couple weeks ago, a BONUS full hour ride with a W theme…a collection of 17 tracks from W-named artists. Adding to this wonderful W theme, I am tapping on the keyboard of my laptop from Washington DC! Our niece and my wife’s god daughter lives and works here (in the convenient Logan Circle neighborhood, when not traveling the world), so it’s about time we visited her (just back from ten days in Peru). Also great to take in this very cool DC community. Main take away from our few days in the Nation’s Capital…its much more than politicians and federal government infrastructure! Looking forward to a couple more days before returning to Grand Rapids.

When putting this mix together, Washington DC wasn’t even remotely on my mind but a have to point out some meaningful tracks and artists that coincidentally relate to DC:
Why Can’t We Be Friends…for political and other reasons our UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is seemingly so divided and unfriendly; Blinding Lights…the weather here in DC has been PERFECT (unseasonably warm) with clear skies and BRIGHT and blinding sunshine from 7AM to 7PM; One Foot…we’ve been logging some miles walking this diverse community; The White Stripes…our American flag, the star-spangled banner is prominently flying throughout DC; Glad You Came…YES, so glad we came to spend time with Haley and see DC again (nearly 30 years since our last visit!); Wiz Khalifa is VERY open about his passion for and use of cannabis (daily consumption and a $10K monthly budget!)…the distinctive dank aroma hangs over the many numbered and lettered streets of DC, more so at certain times and in certain neighborhoods like the very HIP and HOPPIN’ U Street corridor.

OKAY…here’s the ride and playlist!
