Happy HEART month!
It’s another busy February with so many reasons for leading a theme ride, and with all the buzz about Artificial Intelligence…here’s another theme…using ChatGPT.
I recently upgraded my iPhone 13 to Apple’s newest iPhone 16 with Apple Intelligence and now Apple’s Siri assistant routinely asks if ChatGPT can be used to solve the problem. The results are remarkable!
When asking Siri to “create a 45-minute pop playlist for a HIIT indoor cycling class”, and allowing Siri to work with ChatGPT, I get all this in just a few seconds:
Here’s a high-energy pop playlist perfect for keeping that momentum going in a HIIT indoor cycling class. I’ve made sure to balance intense, fast-paced song with a couple of brief recoveries:
45-Minute Pop Playlist for HIIT Indoor Cycling Class
1. “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” – Justin Timberlake (Warm-up, 3:30). Start with a fun, upbeat vibe to get everyone in the zone.
2. “Levitating” – Dua Lipa feat. DaBaby (4:00). Great tempo for building energy early on.
3. “Blinding Lights” – The Weeknd (4:10). Catchy beat with just the right energy to ramp up the intensity.
4. “Physical” – Olivia Newton-John (Dua Lipa Remix) (3:10). Perfect for a burst of power and pushing the pace.
5. “Don’t Start Now” – Dua Lipa (3:10). A punchy beat to keep everyone moving fast and focused.
6. “Scream & Shout” – will.i.am feat. Britney Spears (4:00). High-energy, slightly futuristic sound for an intense push.
7. “Rain On Me” – Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande (4:00). Big chorus and upbeat tempo for a heavy sprint or climb.
8. “Break Free” – Ariana Grande feat. Zedd (3:40). Energizing for a strong push after a sprint.
9. “New Rules” – Dua Lipa (3:30). A great song for steady pacing with some intensity.
10. “Just Dance” – Lady Gaga (4:00). Iconic, feel-good anthem to keep spirits up during the grind.
11. “Toxic” – Britney Spears (3:00). Faster pace with a rhythmic beat to push to the finish line.
12. “Stronger” – Kanye West (5:00). Transitioning to slower but still powerful for a cool-down / stretch.
This mix gives a good variety of energy peaks and recovery moments to match the high-intensity intervals of the class. Enjoy the ride!
WOW!
What I like about the results: quick generation, thorough results, and good music that I like for a cycling class. It’s as if ChatGPT knows how much I like Dua Lipa…with these four tracks on the playlist: Levitating, Physical, Don’t Start Now, and NEW RULES.
What could be better: more variety of artists and songs, more current pop music selections, and more specific details of the ride profile (with a variety of movements).
I used this mix for my 45-minute class last night, but had to add another 3-4 minute track to ChatGPT’s 43-minute mix…using one of Spotify’s recommendations, based on the original 12 tracks of the playlist. It was a very good (but not great FOR THE RIDE INSIDE) mix!
