New Rules 2.0: More on Artificial Intelligence in the Cycle Studio

HAPPY MARCH!

Oops, I did it again…another check-in with Chat GPT. This is a follow-up post since my February NEW RULES post about AI in the Cycle Studio.

I already figured that AI applications, like ChatGPT, wouldn’t replace my own hand crafted SPIN-lists, but might still be a helpful resource for finding some hidden gems for the cycle studio. So this morning I asked for the following: THE TOP 40 SONGS THAT CAN BE USED FOR AN INDOOR CYCLING CLASS?

First response was a disappointment…(I probably didn’t word it correctly):

Creating an energizing playlist for indoor cycling can enhance your workout experience. While I can’t provide a specific list of 40 songs, I recommend exploring curated playlists on platforms like FIT Radio, which offers high-energy mixes tailored for workouts. Additionally, the album ‘40 Best Cycling Hits 2024 For Fitness & Workout’ by Workout Music TV provides a compilation of tracks suitable for cycling sessions . For a diverse selection, consider checking out Jog.fm, a website that suggests music based on tempo and workout type . Remember to choose songs that match your workout intensity and personal musical preferences to keep you motivated throughout your session.

BUT I tried again – rewording the ask, and in seconds…(still not really what I had in mind):

If nothing else, I validated many of my SPIN-list picks from years ago…but a disappointment to see not one track released since 2020! No doubt, a good representation of some SPIN classics like Sandstorm, Thunderstruck, Lose Yourself, and I like how the 40 ChatGPT picks are grouped by BPM and movement / ride format.

ENJOY THE RIDE!
